Sometimes, though, it’s not practical to spend a day watching the waves or a whole night staring up at the stars.

Encased in ice, insulated by a thick layer of snow, the world was silent on this cold February morning.
Images like this are rare to be able to create.
1. Ice storms don’t happen that often in Nova Scotia.
2. If they do it’s not likely to be clear the night after one.
3. Getting a photographer out of their warm bed at 3am to stand outside in the -20˚ weather is almost impossible. (Speaking from experience here)
The techincolour sky in this image is due to dawn encroaching on the last photo before the sky became too light.
The bright “star” to the left of the tree is Venus. Funnily enough to have the hottest planet in our solar system showing prominently in an image that is so VERY cold.

60ft above the crashing waves, perched precariously on a 2ft wide ledge it is hard not to feel very alive and very human.
My body made sure to let me know that one wrong step = mortal peril.
But at the same time I was awed by everything.
A pretty good metaphor for life if there ever was one -> We hold capacity for so much, and all at the same time.
There is something captivating about sea cliffs. They are beautiful, yes. But they also seem to whisper secrets that get snatched away by the wind, tales of happenings long lost.
What has this spit of land seen over the centuries? This coast of Nova Scotia is a traditional stopping spot for migratory birds to have a rest on their journey. And maybe more?
This coast doesn’t have the rum running history that exists elsewhere in Nova Scotia, but for me there’s something about the geography that leads the mind to wander to fantastical stories of secret rendezvous, hidden passages, and more.

Somewhere nestled along the shores of the Atlantic is a sheltered place with a new surprise around every turn.
This image is dedicated to workmanship, creation, and exploration.
In reality this is a stunning private property that indeed has a level of care and attention not often seen.
But every time I find myself getting lost in the little details (of which there are many!) and imagining a world like I did when I was a little girl and read The Secret Garden for the first time.
To add on to the fact that as you emerge from this path you are met with the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean? Well, that’s as perfect as I could ever imagine.

Come with me to a place where the highest tides in the world crash against sandstone built up over a millenia.
The stacks you see here are constantly changing. In fact only a few years ago they looked very different before a collapse happened.
The double parallel white lines you see are not a vein of different rock in the stacks, but instead show the markings of the two most recent high tide lines.
Visiting the ocean floor in the dead of night is an eerie experience, but the magical world that comes alive on my camera makes it all worth it.
Even the freezing, biting wind that was coming off the Bay of Fundy whipping away any feeling of warmth.

What size are the posters?
They range from 22x26”- 28x22” - the perfect size to fit any room decor. On each post page, the details are listed per poster.
Why are these posters?
My fine art images are sold in limited edition sets of (15) and start at $1500 for the smallest size. They are an investment that adds to a collection, and for many of my audience are not currently an option to purchase. I grew up in a home where we often struggled to make ends meet, I know what it is like to go hungry and understand needing to prioritize other needs.
I’ve created these images as a thank you to everyone who has been following me and supporting me but who is not in a place to collect one of my Fine Art Limited Edition Prints.
Are the posters signed?
Yes, the posters are hand signed and numbered by Kristine.
Will I get the poster by Christmas?
Every effort will be made for the poster to arrive by Christmas. However, for international and overseas orders there may be delays due to high volume and general covid-delays. Kristine will be shipping from her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Why does shipping cost so much for overseas?
I’m sorry! I love all my people over across the Atlantic, however, due to the size of these parcels, the shipping rates are high. If you want to bundle your print with someone else local to you to save on shipping that is available, just email support@kristinerosephotography.com
How are these produced?
Kristine has been printing her own work for 16 years via various institutions and she has finally made the leap to bring her print production home. Kristine will hand print every single poster in her home, personally inspecting each one (And signing and numbering.. oh and packaging, labeling, and shipping… wait, are my kids old enough to help with that bit yet?! ;) I joke, mostly)
What is the quality of the posters?
These posters are printed on fine art archival paper using archival printing processes. They are not printed using dye or digital printing techniques that will fade quickly over time. This is a piece that when taken care of properly will last your lifetime.
How do I hang these?
They are a poster! You can frame them (museum UV glass will be the most protective) or you can get them mounted to foam-core, dibond or another alternative and put them right up on your wall.
How long does it take for me to get the poster?
The images are produced all at once as soon as the promotion ends on December 9th to allow me to offer you a lower price, then it will take 3-5 business days for production time. As such they will be mailed out in mid-December.
Will I be able to purchase these again?
These posters may be available again, however the standard price for an open edition poster of this size is $277. Some of these images may end up in my limited edition catalogue and will then be priced at $1500 +

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, I will work with you to make sure you are happy with the print.
Please make sure that you pay attention to the dimensions of the work prior to purchasing, as every image is made to order and not able to be returned due to an ordering error.
On occasion, prints may have minor defects that are unavoidable in modern printing processes; however, every print is inspected personally prior to it being shipped out. If you see something I do not, please be in touch.
If during the course of your ownership your print is severely damaged and requires a replacement, I will do so at any time. You will only be charged only the cost of goods. Simply e-mail me a photograph of the damaged print with a description of what happened to it. I may request you ship it back to me.

About Kristine
Kristine started her photography journey at NSCAD University where she completed a BFA and BDes before moving into corporate creative where she ran a commercial photography studio for a kid’s toy company (where she also was a senior product designer) for 11 years.
Along the way she taught photography at NSCAD University and shot just about every genre of photography (headshots, weddings, family, and her 2nd fave- dogs).
After the birth of her son in 2016, she stopped taking on client work and fell into the world of Astrophotography (since she wasn’t sleeping at night anyways, may as well create amazing photos..)
Kristine is a passionate educator who shares her love of the night sky with thousands of students a year.
Her work has been shown in galleries internationally and has been awarded the NASA Astronomy Photo of the Day twice.
