Symbiosis [Tucson]
A breathtaking desert ecosystem unfolds - showcasing creosote, brittle bush, cholla, prickly pear, and towering saguaros thriving in harsh conditions. These bushes and trees like palo verde and ironwood nurture young saguaros, offering shade, protection, and nourishment. As saguaros mature, they become havens for other desert creatures, with gilded flickers carving cavities, red-tailed hawks nesting.
My first visit to Tucson transformed my perception of the desert from an arid wasteland to a vibrant, interconnected landscape. I deeply respect the desert's resilient life, marveling at their adaptation while honoring the unseen beings that call the Sonoran Desert home.
Hope [Kanab]
Wildflowers, unpredictable and fleeting gifts in nature's canvas, serve as reminders of life's transience. Along the trail near Kanab, Utah, known for its sandstone formations, I marvelled at the vibrant wildflower blankets, their ephemeral presence evident as they swayed in the breeze. These resilient blooms, like hope itself, can thrive unexpectedly.
Just as a seed can take root and bloom under the right conditions, wildflowers offer a gift of embracing the present moment, as Eckhart Tolle suggests. Their beauty, fragility, and determination converge in a brief spectacle, urging us to savor the simple yet profound joys of being fully present in our world.
Resilience [Peggy’s Cove]
Peggy's Point Lighthouse, perched on a barren rock outcrop since 1915, stands resilient at the entrance to St. Margaret's Bay, its history dating back to 1898. From snow-covered winters to stormy hurricanes and serene summer days, my proximity to Peggy's Cove has allowed me to witness it in various weather conditions.
What consistently strikes me is the unyielding resilience of this landscape, the enduring granite outcrop, and the sturdy lighthouse, weathering harsh elements. Yet, it's a reminder that humans are integral too, as without us, there'd be no need for this beacon. It underscores the landscape's resilience and encourages us to find our own strength with care and attention.
Abundance [Cholla]
The Teddybear Cholla, deceptively named for its cuddly appearance, is more excruciating rather than cozy if it hugs you. This beautiful hike is also precarious with these cholla posing a prickly threat. Treading lightly and exercising caution is essential to avoid contact with these hitchhiking plants, which may all trace their lineage back to a single ancestor, perpetuating through time.
The repetitive landscape of cholla, stretching as far as the eye can see, offers a calming and almost meditative experience. It sharpens our perceptiveness and immerses us in a tranquil realm within the treacherous pathways.
Patience [Joshua Tree]
1.4 billion years ago, the rocks of Joshua Tree National Park took shape, a staggering timescale. Joshua Trees, actually succulents, had their seeds dispersed by now-extinct Giant ground sloths after the Ice Age, with most living for 150 years. Walking here, my footsteps echo loudly in this tranquil environment, highlighting its inherent harshness.
Amidst the stillness, occasional bird calls and insect sounds break the silence, and glimpses of cottontails or squirrels catch the eye. This landscape seems patiently unchanged on the surface, but it reveals its subtleties to those who invest time, attuning themselves to its rhythms and allowing quiet contemplation to connect with its timeless beauty.

What size are the prints?
These are printed on a 8”x10” premium archival Hahnemühle Torchon paper and are mounted on a app. 13” x 11” custom carved and burned pine board.
Why are these special edition?
My fine art images are sold in limited edition sets of (6-15) and start at $1500 for the smallest size. They are an investment that adds to a collection, and for many of my audience are not currently an option to purchase. I grew up in a home where we often struggled to make ends meet, I know what it is like to go hungry and understand needing to prioritize other needs.
I’ve created these images as a thank you to everyone who has been following me and supporting me but who is not in a place to collect one of my Fine Art Limited Edition Prints.
Are the prints signed?
Yes, the prints are signed by Kristine and branded by Shane. It comes with a hand tooled and antiqued leather nameplate with the number of the print.
Will I get the print by Christmas?
Every effort will be made for the prints to arrive by Christmas. However, for international and overseas orders there may be delay. Kristine will be shipping from her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

How are these produced?
Each print is a unique, handmade creation crafted by Kristine in collaboration with her woodworking brother, Shane.
These one-of-a-kind 8x10" prints are printed on premium archival Hahnemühle Torchon paper, featuring a distinctive hand-burned edge. They are elegantly mounted on app. 13” x 11” custom carved and burned pine board, complete with a keyhole for effortless hanging.
Each piece includes a hand-tooled and antiqued leather nameplate displaying the print's number and bears the signatures of Kristine and the branding mark of Shane.
What is the quality of the prints?
These are printed on fine art archival paper using archival printing processes.
They are not printed using dye or digital printing techniques that will fade quickly over time. This is a piece that when taken care of properly will last your lifetime.
How do I hang these?
The prints are mounted on a custom carved and burned pine board app. 13” x 11” with a keyhole for easy hanging.
How long does it take for me to get the print?
The images are produced all at once as soon as the promotion ends on December 1st to allow me to offer you a lower price, then it will take 3-5 business days for production time. As such they will be mailed out in mid-December.
Will I be able to purchase these again?
These images may be available again, however the standard price for an open edition print of this size is $277. Some of these images may end up in my limited edition catalogue and will then be priced at $1500 +

I care about every one of my customers and want you to be happy with your purchased work.
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, I will work with you to make sure you are happy with the purchase.
Please make sure that you pay attention to the dimensions of the work prior to purchasing, as every image is made to order and not able to be returned due to an ordering error.
As these are handmade the prints and mounts will have minor defects that are unavoidable in modern printing processes and hand made process.
However, every print is inspected personally prior to it being shipped out. If you see something I do not, please be in touch.
About Kristine
Kristine started her photography journey at NSCAD University where she completed a BFA and BDes before moving into corporate creative where she ran a commercial photography studio for a kid’s toy company (where she also was a senior product designer) for 11 years.
Along the way she taught photography at NSCAD University and shot just about every genre of photography (headshots, weddings, family, and her 2nd fave- dogs).
After the birth of her son in 2016, she stopped taking on client work and fell into the world of Astrophotography (since she wasn’t sleeping at night anyways, may as well create amazing photos..)
Kristine is a passionate educator who shares her love of the night sky with thousands of students a year.
Her work has been shown in galleries internationally and has been awarded the NASA Astronomy Photo of the Day twice.
